Project Spotlight - Dayton

Miami Valley Hospital Southeast Addition

The Miami Valley Hospital Southeast Addition project is a new 484,874-square foot, 12-story building. The tower is constructed of cast-in-place concrete topped with structural steel and clad with a combination of precast and curtainwall. The project is expected to cost a total of $150 million, with completion set for late 2010. International architecture and design firm NBBJ is the Project Architect; Skanska-Shook is the Construction Manager. Valley Interior Systems of Dayton was awarded the lower half work (6 floors) of this project to include metal framing, drywall, insulation, and acoustic ceiling.

Project Spotlight - Cincinnati

Great American Tower at Queen City Square

Valley was awarded the core drywall package for the Great American Tower at Queen City Square in Cincinnati Ohio. The building will be Cincinnati’s tallest building, boasting over 1 million square feet of office space combined with 20,000 square feet of retail space and 2,350 parking spaces. Queen City Square will be the “greenest” and most environmentally sensitive office building in the CBD. Further, it has been designated to achieve LEED certification. The general contractor on the project is Turner Construction and architecture is provided by Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum (HOK). Great American Tower at Queen City Square is set to open the first quarter of 2011.

Project Spotlight - Findlay

Bryan Community Hospital and Wellness Center

The Bryan Community Hospital and Wellness Center project is four stories and approximately 200,000 sq ft. It is a three year multi-phase project to renovate and expand the existing hospital that was awarded in June 2008. The east addition started in December 2008 and is scheduled for completion by October 2009, with the remaining phases to follow over the ensuing year. The exterior is one of the first in the area to utilize 3" Thermafiber insulation and VaproWall Shield over the exterior sheathing, which will be clad with metal wall panels. The Findlay office is proud to head up this project.

Project Spotlight - Columbus

Childrens Hospital

Childrens Hospital addition and renovation will be an impressive medical facility and a true landmark for the City of Columbus. The general contractor for the project is Turner Construction in a joint venture with Smoot Construction. Valley’s scope of work involves framing, insulation, hanging, finishing, blocking, and acoustical and metal ceilings The project is set for completion in late 2011 with a grand opening in 2012.
